Day 5 La Coquille to Thiviers 18.5km

What a big difference!! The sun shone all day and we had a little siesta on the path in warm sunshine. The paths were glorious. It cheered us up no end. Jennys rucksack had cut into her shoulders and arms. We swapped rucksacks but the damage was already done. We had already booked into the refuge at Thiviers. That turned out to be a municipal campsite with wooden cabins. The man convinced us to upgrade to one with heating and hot water. It was a lovely wooded setting. We ate with the five Belgian ladies. Fortunately Jennys French was up to it, I was learning fast but not fast enough. We contributed Eton Mess to the event. We ate very well indeed. Its a very interesting experience staying somewhere different each night. The cabin was great. No sheets but some bedding. Used the silk sleeping bag. Mo
